Dr. Emily Brooks is thrilled to be back home serving patients in the Oklahoma City area. She grew up in north, Moore and Norman, and graduated from Southmoore High School. Her dream of becoming an orthodontist began at just 10 years old. Fascinated by braces, she begged her mom for them because she thought they were cool and was jealous that her best friend had them. (As it turns out, her best friend’s orthodontist was Dr. Craig!) She would even pretend Kool-Aid bottle tops were retainers!
Dr. Brooks has pursued her education across the country. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University (Sic’em!) before returning to Oklahoma to complete her dental degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Following dental school, her love of the beach led her to NC, where she completed a General Practice Residency at East Carolina University. She then moved to PA where she completed her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Pittsburgh.
Outside the office, Dr. Brooks loves traveling and has a goal of visiting all seven continents. She enjoys staying active and can often be found training for half marathons, HYROX competitions, and other fitness challenges - though she describes her athletic abilities as “enthusiastic at best”. When she's not working or training, she loves cheering on the Sooners at OU sporting events and is always happy to find great Mexican food.
